The temperature difference from the base is 2.8 degrees Celsius, indicating a typical altitudinal temperature drop. Temperatures will remain in the low teens throughout the day, accompanied by light winds. Visibility is excellent, exceeding 20 kilometers, offering clear views of Sapporo city and Ishikari Bay.

Ground conditions are currently dry with no snow cover. However, light drizzle is expected to begin around noon, transitioning to light rain overnight into early morning. This will result in wet trail conditions. Particular caution is advised on the steep slopes of the Highland Zone, where wet rocks and soil significantly increase the risk of slipping. Muddy sections may also develop.

The perceived temperature will closely match the ambient temperature of 10 to 12 degrees Celsius throughout the day due to light winds. Therefore, a wicking base layer, a light fleece or softshell as a mid-layer are appropriate. Waterproof and breathable shell jacket and pants are essential, especially for the afternoon drizzle and overnight rain. Crampons or microspikes are not necessary. While the risk of lightning is low, the potential for hypothermia increases if clothing becomes wet in the rain, so thorough waterproofing and carrying extra warm layers are crucial.
