The expansive wetlands on the summit plateau are largely dry as the snow has melted. However, expect some wet and muddy sections around the ponds (Iketou) and in shaded areas. Be especially careful on the wooden boardwalks within the wetlands, as they can be slippery. Strictly prohibit stepping off the boardwalks to protect the delicate ecosystem. Waterproof trekking shoes are recommended.

The risk of hypothermia is low, but be prepared for the chilly morning and potential cooling during breaks. A quick-drying base layer, a fleece mid-layer, and a windproof shell are essential.
