This morning, the summit of Mt. Yari is clear with excellent visibility. However, the temperature remains a severe -6.4°C, with a felt temperature of -10.5°C. The 145cm deep residual snow is hard-packed, and icy sections are scattered, particularly in shaded areas and on exposed rock ridges. The continuous chains and ladders on the Hozaki summit pose a high risk of slipping due to ice. It may be dangerous to pass with crampons on, requiring careful judgment depending on the situation. Be wary of rockfall directly below the summit.

Temperatures are expected to rise gradually throughout the day, reaching a maximum of 1.7°C, but will remain near or below freezing. While winds on the ridge are forecast to be light, gusty conditions could further lower the felt temperature. A base layer of quick-drying material, a mid-layer of thick fleece or light down, and a winter-specification windproof and waterproof outer shell are essential. Strict cold weather gear, including gloves, a balaclava, and goggles, is mandatory.

Crampons and an ice axe must be carried throughout the day to prepare for slips on hard snow surfaces and icy sections. The risk of hypothermia remains consistently high; pay maximum attention to cold fingers and toes. Adhere strictly to daytime activity hours, as temperatures will drop again to below -1°C in the evening, reaching -6°C overnight. All activities should conclude during daylight hours.
