Currently, Mt. Yari summit is experiencing snowfall with visibility less than 1km, accompanied by gusts of 21.9m/s. The wind chill is an extreme -14.8 degrees Celsius. At the base, light drizzle and 0.9 degrees Celsius are observed, indicating a significant temperature difference of 10.4 degrees Celsius from the summit.

Light snowfall and poor visibility are expected to persist throughout the morning. Although forecasts predict clear skies from noon onwards, temperatures will remain below freezing, with wind chill around -12 degrees Celsius even by 3 PM. Expect severe winter-like cold with wind chill consistently below -10 degrees Celsius all day.

With a snow depth of 144cm and low temperatures, the remaining snow will be firm, and exposed areas will likely have icy conditions. The chains and ladders on the Yari-Ho (summit ridge) are expected to be covered in snow and ice, posing an extremely high risk of falling due to strong winds and poor visibility. A summit attempt today is strongly advised against. For any movement, 12-point crampons, an ice axe, waterproof and windproof hardshells, thick insulated layers, a balaclava, and goggles are essential. Carry an extra down jacket. The risk of hypothermia is very high; do not hesitate to turn back.
