Today on Naeba-san, the morning began with light clouds, but conditions are expected to deteriorate throughout the day. The summit currently reports 7.6 degrees Celsius with a feels-like temperature of 5.4 degrees, relatively mild for now. However, by noon, light drizzle will begin, transitioning to light rain by 3 PM. Temperatures will drop to 5.5 degrees Celsius in the afternoon, with feels-like temperatures ranging from 5 to 3 degrees.

The wide marshland plateau at the summit will be wet to muddy all day due to precipitation. Wooden boardwalks will become slippery, making it crucial to strictly adhere to the rule of staying on the boardwalks to protect the marshland and ensure safety. A sharp temperature drop of 12 degrees Celsius is forecast over the period. Getting wet during activity directly leads to hypothermia in such conditions.

For layering, a quick-drying base layer, a fleece mid-layer, and a waterproof-breathable outer shell are essential. The afternoon rain and falling temperatures significantly increase the risk of hypothermia. Prolonged activity, especially after 3 PM when rainfall intensifies and temperatures drop to around 3 degrees Celsius, is not recommended. Make an early decision to turn back if conditions worsen. Nighttime temperatures will fall below freezing with increasing winds, making any nocturnal activity extremely dangerous.
