Strong southwesterly winds are sweeping across the Izola Summit, currently at 6.05m/s with gusts up to 15.6m/s, making the felt temperature a chilly 2.4°C. There is a noticeable temperature difference of nearly 4°C compared to the base, indicating significantly colder conditions at higher elevations. Near the Izola Summit, the wind pressure is considerable, requiring careful foot placement to maintain balance during movement.

With no snow cover, the ground is generally dry. However, shaded areas and along streams might be damp or muddy. Essential layering includes a moisture-wicking base layer, a fleece or light down mid-layer for insulation, and a windproof, waterproof shell as an outer layer. Gloves and a hat are also crucial. Crampons or microspikes are not necessary.

Temperatures will hover around 4°C overnight, with strong winds persisting and gusts expected to exceed 15m/s. As Rusutsu Izola is a mountain area prone to wind influence, similar to the risk of lift and gondola closures during strong winds, preparedness is key. Visibility remains good, but to mitigate the risk of hypothermia, diligently manage perspiration during activity and ensure proper insulation during breaks. Be mindful of potential fallen tree hazards.
