Today at Niseko Hirafu summit, a mild cloudy sky prevails with excellent visibility extending over 14 kilometers. Temperatures will climb to around 14.5 degrees Celsius at the summit during the day, accompanied by light winds with gusts up to 7.5 meters per second, making it a suitable day for hiking. The temperature difference between the summit and base will remain around 6 degrees Celsius.

The ground is dry with no snow cover. However, high humidity may lead to dew-covered grass or damp areas, so watch your footing. The hiking trails along the Hirafu slopes offer clear views and are easy to navigate. Be cautious of potential slips when crossing stream sections.

The perceived temperature will range from 12 to 15 degrees Celsius throughout the day. Appropriate layering includes a quick-drying base layer, a light fleece or long-sleeved shirt as a mid-layer, and a wind-resistant shell. Although the chance of precipitation temporarily increases, no actual rainfall is expected, so rain gear is a precautionary item. Light crampons or microspikes are not necessary.

The risk of thunderstorms, strong winds, and hypothermia is low. There is no concern for lightning due to the lack of precipitation. Winds will not affect movement. Temperatures will drop to around 8 degrees Celsius at night, so ensure adequate cold weather protection if your activities extend into the evening.
