Mount Shari experiences stable summer conditions with clear skies and light winds. Summit temperatures will range from approximately 15 to 18 degrees Celsius during the daytime. A fast-drying base layer, a thin mid-layer, and a lightweight shell for wind protection on ridges or during breaks are recommended. The summit is about 4 degrees Celsius colder than the base.

With no precipitation, ground conditions are generally dry. However, the Old Trail (Kyudo) stream route, known for its series of waterfalls, will have wet and slippery rocks and streambeds. Extreme caution is required, particularly on the continuous waterfalls, to mitigate the risk of slipping and falling. While the risk of sudden stream swelling is low, careful stream crossings are essential.

Thunderstorm risk is very low. Gusts up to 10 meters per second are expected, which should not impede movement significantly, but maintain balance on exposed ridges. The risk of hypothermia during the day is low, but always carry extra insulation in case of sudden weather changes or during extended breaks. Crampons or microspikes are not necessary.

Be aware that this is an active season for brown bears (Higuma). Take appropriate precautions when entering their habitat. Clear skies will persist into the evening, with temperatures gradually decreasing, but nighttime ascent is not advised.
