Mount Hakusan summit currently enjoys mostly clear skies with a temperature of 12.6 degrees Celsius and minimal wind, offering a calm start to the day. Visibility stands at 1.1 kilometers, providing favorable conditions for an early start. There is an approximate 10-degree Celsius temperature difference between the summit and the base. This calm weather is expected to persist until around 9 AM. Ground conditions are slightly damp from morning dew but largely dry. There is no remaining snow, so rock ridges are exposed.

However, light drizzle is forecast to begin around noon, transitioning to light rain by 3 PM, with a 100 percent chance of precipitation. Full rain gear is therefore essential. The afternoon rainfall will likely lead to significantly reduced visibility on exposed ridges such as Gozenmine and Onanjimine, with dense fog expected. Particularly on the Oike-meguri course, which circles areas like Midorigaike pond from Gozenmine, hikers must exercise extreme caution regarding navigation in poor visibility and muddy trail sections.

Summit temperatures are expected to remain between 13.5 and 15 degrees Celsius even during the afternoon rain. However, getting wet significantly lowers the perceived temperature, increasing the risk of hypothermia. A quick-drying base layer, a fleece mid-layer, and waterproof-breathable outer shell (jacket and pants) are mandatory. Although winds are light, with gusts up to 6.3 meters per second, rain and fog on the ridge can quickly deplete energy. It is advisable to reach the summit in the morning and begin your descent by approximately 12 PM before the rain intensifies.

Weather is expected to clear up in the evening, with fair skies overnight, though temperatures will drop to around 10 degrees Celsius. Nighttime travel is not recommended.
