Niseko Hirafu summit is cloudy with a temperature of 15.5℃, which is 6℃ cooler than the base. Light misty rain will continue through the morning, with visibility around 1.2km. From approximately 3 PM, rainfall will intensify with a 98% probability, and precipitation will increase intermittently into the night.

Ground conditions will be wet all day, becoming muddy, especially with the increased rainfall this afternoon. There is no snow cover, requiring summer hiking gear. Rocks will be slippery, so extreme caution is needed when ascending the Hirafu slopes.

The apparent temperature is in the mid-15s, but rain and high humidity can rapidly steal body heat if you get wet. To mitigate the risk of hypothermia, waterproof and breathable rain gear (jacket and pants) and waterproof hiking boots are essential. Quick-drying base layers and insulating mid-layers like fleece should also be carried. Trekking poles will be useful for stability in the slippery forested areas. Visibility will remain poor on the ridges of the Niseko Range, complicating navigation. While the risk of strong winds or lightning is low, be wary of reduced visibility and unstable footing, and consider completing your activities by midday.
