Hakkoda summit currently experiences light clouds with visibility under 1km. The feels like temperature is a cool 13.1℃, about 5℃ colder than the base. This limited visibility is expected to clear by around 9 AM, transitioning to clear skies with temperatures rising above 20℃. Winds will also be calm, creating favorable conditions for daytime hiking.

The ground is snow-free and generally dry. However, due to high humidity and morning mist, some sections of wetlands and stream areas may still be damp. Specifically, on wetland routes such as the one from Mt. Odake to Sukayu Onsen, the risk of getting lost is high during morning's poor visibility. It is advisable to wait for visibility to improve or to avoid these areas without reliable navigation tools like GPS. Near Jigokunuma (Hell Pond), there is a possibility of toxic volcanic gas accumulation depending on wind direction, requiring extreme caution.

With feels like temperatures ranging from 13℃ in the morning to over 20℃ during the day, wear a quick-drying base layer. A light mid-layer will suffice while moving, but carry a lightweight windproof and waterproof shell for breaks or exposed areas to regulate body temperature effectively. Significant risks of thunderstorms or strong winds are low. Hypothermia risk is also low, but be mindful of sweat chill. Always carry essential gear including rainwear, water, snacks, and a headlamp.
