Kuju Mountains are experiencing clear skies today. The current summit feels like 16.1℃, a notable 4.8℃ cooler than the base. Temperatures will rise to a peak of 21.3℃ during the day, but light winds around 3m/s will keep conditions relatively pleasant for hiking. The ground is dry with no precipitation or snow, offering easy walking conditions on routes like the one from Makinoto Pass towards Mt. Kuju and Mt. Nakadake.

Visibility is excellent at over 20km, significantly reducing the risk of getting lost in fog, a specific hazard in the Kuju area. However, always carry a map, compass, and GPS. Trekking to Bogatsuru Marsh will also be enjoyable. For layering, a moisture-wicking base layer, a thin long-sleeve shirt as a mid-layer, and a lightweight wind shell as an outer layer are sufficient. Adjust layers frequently to manage body temperature, as activity will generate heat. Carry an extra layer for warmth during breaks or at the summit.

The chance of precipitation is 0% throughout the day, mitigating lightning risks. Gusts will remain around 8.7m/s during daylight hours, posing no significant issue for hiking. However, winds are forecast to strengthen significantly towards early morning on the 15th, with gusts reaching 15.2m/s. Ensure descent is completed before sunset to avoid nighttime travel. No crampons or microspikes are needed. Essential gear includes rain gear (top and bottom), ample water, snacks, a hat, and sunglasses.
