Mount Shari summit is cloudy with a temperature of 11.2°C, feeling like 10.3°C. There is a 6.3°C difference from the base, making the upper elevations feel chilly. Humidity is 100% and visibility is poor, less than 1km, indicating the summit is enveloped in low clouds. Daytime temperatures are expected to rise to the low 12s to 13s, but will drop back to around 10°C by evening. While the chance of precipitation is low, high humidity means trails, especially along stream routes, will remain wet and slippery.

Specifically, the Old Trail (Kyudo) from Kiyosato-so, which features continuous waterfalls and rocky sections, will be consistently wet and pose a high risk of slipping. Extreme caution is advised for foot placement. The New Trail (Shindo) ridge also suffers from poor visibility, increasing the risk of getting lost. The perceived temperature remains low, and exposure to wind on the ridge or during breaks can rapidly lead to heat loss. A quick-drying base layer, a fleece mid-layer, and a waterproof and windproof outer shell are essential to prevent hypothermia.

While the risk of strong winds and thunderstorms is low, vigilance against hypothermia due to poor visibility and high humidity is crucial. Mandatory gear includes rain gear (jacket and pants), gloves, and a hat. Non-slip hiking boots and trekking poles are highly recommended. As this is active brown bear habitat, it is advisable to hike in groups and make noise. With little improvement expected in visibility, refrain from pushing limits.
