The sky will gradually become partly cloudy during the day, but there is no precipitation expected throughout. Winds remain light, making for a generally calm day for climbing.
Trail conditions are mostly dry. There is no snow or ice, so crampons or microspikes are not necessary. However, be cautious on rocky sections, especially around Hachihonba-no-Koru, a prominent feature of Kitadake. Shaded or recessed areas may still be damp or muddy, increasing the risk of slipping. Pay close attention to your footing, particularly on descents.
Daytime apparent temperatures will range from 7 to 13 degrees Celsius. Essential layering includes a base layer, a mid-layer such as fleece, and a windproof outer shell. Carry an additional insulating layer like a lightweight down jacket for breaks and cooler mornings or evenings. A headlamp and rain gear are mandatory.
The risk of thunderstorms is extremely low. Wind gusts will reach a maximum of 6.9 m/s during the day and 7.5 m/s at night, which is not strong enough to impede climbing activities. While the risk of hypothermia is low with proper layering, always be mindful of potential drops in body temperature due to moisture or wind. Evening temperatures will drop to around 8 degrees Celsius, so ensure adequate warmth for night activities or hut stays.
