Winds are light, presenting relatively calm weather for climbing. However, high humidity suggests wet ground conditions will persist all day, despite no precipitation.

The Old Route, part of the loop from Kiyosato Hut, involves numerous waterfalls and can be particularly slippery due to wet rocks and moss. Careful foot placement is crucial. While there is no immediate risk of flash floods in the stream areas, the probability of precipitation increases overnight, so early action is advised. As this is a brown bear habitat, avoid solo travel and make your presence known with a bell or radio.

Essential gear includes a quick-drying base layer, a mid-layer such as fleece, and a windproof and waterproof outer shell. Rain gear is mandatory. Crampons or microspikes are not needed. Hypothermia risk is low during the day given the ambient temperatures, but be mindful of cooling during breaks. Wind gusts will reach a maximum of 7.1m/s during the day, which should not impede movement.

Temperatures will drop to around 10℃ in the evening, with precipitation probability increasing from 31% to 59% from midnight into early morning. If your activity extends, do not neglect extra insulation and rain gear. Visibility of 7.5km is expected to hold during the day, but as the automated risk assessment indicates, continuously monitor visibility and temperature changes for any shifts in weather.
