The temperature difference from the base is 3.9 degrees Celsius, indicating a chilly summit. Humidity is high at 94%, and visibility is less than 1 kilometer, meaning views from the Unkai Terrace are unlikely. Winds are light, with gusts remaining below 5.4 meters per second.

Temperatures will gradually rise during the day, reaching 16 degrees Celsius by 3 PM under partly cloudy skies. Light drizzle is possible from late afternoon, and temperatures will drop to around 10 degrees Celsius overnight. Despite minimal precipitation, the high humidity and fog will keep the walking paths around the Unkai Terrace, accessible by gondola, and other hiking trails wet and slippery. Expect muddy sections as well.

Given these conditions, waterproof and breathable rainwear (jacket and pants), a quick-drying base layer, and insulating layers such as fleece are essential. To cope with the 8.7 degrees Celsius apparent temperature at the summit, carry warm accessories like gloves and a hat. While there is no snow, sturdy waterproof hiking boots are necessary for the wet terrain. Although the risk of strong winds or thunderstorms is low, poor visibility combined with wet conditions increases the risk of hypothermia, especially as temperatures drop in the evening.
