Miyanoura-dake summit is currently cloudy with dense fog limiting visibility to less than 1km. Light drizzle to weak rain is expected to continue intermittently throughout the day. The perceived temperature at the summit will hover around 14 degrees Celsius. However, with 96% humidity and constant drizzle, the body is prone to getting wet and losing heat rapidly. A waterproof and breathable rain shell (top and bottom) is essential, along with a thin fleece mid-layer and a quick-drying base layer to manage wetness and cold.

Ground conditions will be wet and muddy due to the drizzle and the island's heavy rainfall. Exposed rock sections will be slippery. Particular caution is advised around the Hananoego Marshland. Although the forecasted precipitation is light, the unique heavy rainfall of Yakushima means flash floods in streams remain a concern. The dense fog with visibility under 1km will persist intermittently from morning to afternoon, significantly increasing the risk of getting lost. Pay close attention to route finding, especially on the long approach from Yodogawa Trailhead.

Gusts will reach up to 14.6m/s, which is not strong enough to impede movement significantly, but a wet body can feel colder than the actual temperature. The risk of hypothermia is not low. Actively seek warmth during breaks and replenish energy with snacks. No signs of thunderstorms are indicated. After sunset, the drizzle is expected to weaken, and precipitation should cease by midnight, though poor visibility might persist.
