This morning, Tomuraushi summit is partly cloudy with a felt temperature of 3.8℃, a significant 9.5℃ colder than the base. While maintaining a cloudy base, the temperature is expected to rise to 10℃ by midday, turning mostly clear in the afternoon and completely clear by night. Winds will remain mild throughout the day, with gusts peaking at 6.7m/s.

There is no precipitation or snowfall, suggesting generally dry ground conditions. However, the unique alpine wetlands of Kita-numa and Minami-numa are likely to retain moisture, creating slippery sections. The rock garden will be exposed. Crampons or microspikes are not necessary, but rain gear is essential for both wind protection and warmth.

Daytime felt temperatures will reach a maximum of around 7℃. A wicking base layer, a fleece mid-layer, and a windproof shell jacket are recommended. For breaks and the colder morning and evening hours, especially at night when felt temperatures can drop to around 2℃, a light down jacket, gloves, and a hat are crucial. Tomuraushi is a long course, challenging for a day trip. Always be mindful of the rapid weather changes, as tragically exemplified by the 2009 accident. Carry ample food, water, a headlamp, map, and compass. Visibility is currently over 11km, but be prepared for potential whiteout conditions and navigation challenges if fog develops.
