Current conditions at Mt. Meakan summit are cloudy with visibility remaining below 1km. Cloudy weather will persist throughout the day, with temperatures rising during the morning. The temperature difference from the base is approximately 5 degrees Celsius, with a summit felt temperature around 7 degrees Celsius.

Winds will pick up slightly from the southwest in the afternoon, with gusts reaching up to 9.5m/s by 3 PM. This wind speed poses no significant hindrance to movement, but it can destabilize footing on the scree slopes around the crater lakes and fumarole clusters, increasing the risk of falling. Combined with poor visibility, careful movement is required. Even on the Onneto Course, poor visibility makes it difficult to grasp the surrounding conditions, so proceed while confirming your position with a map, compass, and GPS.

The ground is dry with no snow cover. For layering, carry a moisture-wicking base layer, a thin fleece for a mid-layer, and a windproof shell as an outer layer, adjusting according to the felt temperature. Rain gear is essential. The risk of thunderstorms is low.

The weather will clear up to fair skies in the evening, but temperatures will drop to single digits. For any activity after sunset, do not forget your warm clothing and headlamp.
