Clear skies are expected this morning, offering pleasant climbing conditions. The summit temperature is 8.2°C, feeling like 6.4°C, with light winds. The Sabo-Shindo route leading to Gozenmine Peak should be mostly dry and easy to navigate. Although the daytime high will reach 10.2°C, the apparent temperature will remain in single digits, making proper cold weather gear essential. A moisture-wicking base layer, a mid-layer such as fleece or light down, and a waterproof-breathable outer shell are mandatory.

However, the weather will change in the afternoon. From around 12:00, it will become partly cloudy, with light drizzle expected by 15:00. While the precipitation is minimal at 0.7mm, getting wet will significantly lower the apparent temperature. Particularly on the ridges, the drizzle combined with potential fog could drastically reduce visibility. Current summit visibility is 1.6km, but it may decrease further in the afternoon, requiring utmost caution for route finding, especially on complex terrain like the Oike Meguri (Pond Circuit).

The Murodo area is expected to be crowded, so allow ample time for your activities. The risk of thunderstorms is low, but be vigilant against hypothermia if you get wet. While strong winds are not anticipated to impede movement, it is crucial to act early and be prepared to turn back in anticipation of afternoon weather deterioration. Nights will be clear and cold, but this will have little impact on daytime activities.
