登山道は全般的にウェットで、土の露出した箇所は泥濘状態。岩場も濡れて滑りやすい。火口湖御釜周辺は視界が利かず、火口立入規制の範囲を誤って越えるリスクもある。刈田岳から熊野岳への稜線では、15時頃に突風15.9m/sが予想され、体が振られる可能性が高い。足元の悪さと視界不良が重なり、一層の注意が必要となる。
体感気温は低い状態で推移し、終日の雨と湿度97%の環境は低体温症のリスクが高い。ベースレイヤーは速乾性の化繊またはウール、ミッドレイヤーは薄手のフリースや化繊綿、アウターは防水透湿性レインウェア上下が必須だ。防水グローブと帽子も必ず用意すること。雷のリスクは低いが、風と雨による体温低下には厳重な警戒が必要となる。

Trails are generally wet, and exposed dirt sections are muddy. Rocky areas are also slick due to the rain. Visibility around Okama crater lake is very poor, increasing the risk of inadvertently crossing the restricted zone. Along the ridge from Kattadake to Kumanodake, gusts of up to 15.9m/s are expected around 3 PM, which could unbalance hikers. The combination of poor footing and limited visibility demands extreme caution.

A fast-drying base layer of synthetic or wool, a mid-layer of thin fleece or synthetic insulation, and a waterproof-breathable rain jacket and pants are essential.
