Mt. Shari summit reports partly sunny conditions with a temperature of 7°C, feeling like 4.3°C this morning. The temperature difference from the base is approximately 5°C. While partly cloudy skies are expected during the day, there is no forecast for precipitation, and winds will remain gentle, making for a generally favorable day for activity.

Ground conditions are mostly dry, but sections along the Old Trail, particularly around the continuous waterfalls, will likely be wet and slippery due to higher humidity. Exercise extreme caution with your footing and maintain three points of contact. Although the risk of flash floods in the stream is low, remember that this is a brown bear habitat. Make your presence known with a bell or whistle and remain vigilant at all times.

Daytime apparent temperatures will range from 4°C to 8°C. A base layer, a mid-layer such as fleece, and a windproof outer shell are essential. Carry an additional insulating layer, like a lightweight down jacket, for breaks or early morning starts. Risks of lightning and strong winds are low. However, temperatures will drop to 6.5°C after 6 PM, with gusts reaching up to 9.5 m/s, so day hikers should plan to conclude their activities early.
