降水は終日予報されておらず、積雪も0cmのため、岩稜帯は完全に露出したドライなコンディションが維持される。カニのタテバイやヨコバイ、別山尾根や早月尾根の鎖場といった核心部も、濡れた岩や残雪による滑りの心配は少ない。ただし、岩稜帯は落石の危険が日本最多級であり、先行者との距離やヘルメットの着用を徹底すること。
体感気温は日中を通して5℃台から10℃程度となる。ベースレイヤーの上にフリースなどのミッドレイヤー、さらに薄手のシェルアウターの三層が基本となる。行動中は暑くなるため、ミッドレイヤーを調整できるよう準備すること。停滞時や日没後には気温が下がるため、保温着（ダウンジャケット等）を必ず携行すること。雷や強風のリスクは低いが、天候の急変に備え雨具は携行する。

概要 Overview
富山県東部にそびえる標高2,999mの岩峰。「岩と雪の殿堂」と称される日本三大岩場のひとつで、その威容と難ルートから多くの登山者の憧れとなっている。明治時代の初登頂時には信仰登山者の遺物が発見された逸話を持つ。
特徴・地形 Features
急峻な岩壁、痩せた岩稜、雪渓が連続する難ルート。前剱・カニのタテバイ・カニのヨコバイなど核心部は鎖場・梯子の連続。一般ルートでも岩稜歩行に慣れていることが前提となる。

7月中旬〜9月中旬が一般登山シーズン。残雪・積雪期は本格的なアルパインクライミング装備と技術が必要。
