Mount Naeba summit currently enjoys clear skies with a temperature of 11.9°C, feeling like approximately 9°C due to light winds of 2.06 m/s. Clear conditions are expected to persist throughout the day, with temperatures rising to a maximum of 14.6°C. Gusts will remain moderate, peaking at around 10.8 m/s, posing no significant hindrance to movement.
With no precipitation and zero snow depth, the main trails are predominantly dry. However, the extensive highland marsh on the summit plateau, a key feature of Naeba, may have damp sections around its boardwalks. It is crucial to stay on the designated wooden paths to protect the sensitive marsh environment and prevent accidental falls.
For layering, a base layer and a light mid-layer will suffice during activity, but a windbreaker is recommended for breaks at the summit or in exposed areas. As temperatures will drop to around 8°C overnight, those planning extended stays or late descents must carry adequate insulation. Although the risk of thunderstorms is low, with only a slight increase in cloud cover expected this afternoon, rain gear should still be carried as a precaution. Visibility is excellent, exceeding 20km, significantly reducing the risk of getting lost in dense fog on the plateau.
