As of 8 AM, Naeba Summit is mostly clear with a temperature of 10.2°C, feeling like 8.3°C. There is a 7°C temperature difference from the base, necessitating appropriate layering for the elevation gain. Conditions are expected to transition to partly cloudy during the day, but winds will remain light, making for a pleasant hiking day.

On the summit plateau today, temperatures will rise to around 13°C, with wind speeds generally around 2m/s. The effective temperature is expected to hover around 12°C. While active, a quick-drying base layer and a light mid-layer should suffice, but a fleece or similar insulating layer is essential during breaks or in exposed areas. No precipitation is forecast, but there is a 37% chance of light rain by 3 PM. Therefore, carrying lightweight rain gear for wind and cold protection is mandatory. There is no snow, and the ground is mostly dry to damp. Boardwalks within the wetlands may be slippery in places, so exercise caution with footing. Stepping off the boardwalks is strictly prohibited to protect the delicate vegetation.

Visibility is excellent, exceeding 20km, which minimizes the risk of fog-induced disorientation on the plateau. However, as it becomes partly cloudy in the afternoon, there is a possibility of temporary visibility reduction. Carrying a map and compass, or a GPS device, is recommended. The risk of thunderstorms is low, but mountain weather can change quickly. Always monitor sky conditions and consider a prompt descent if any anomalies are observed. Risks of strong winds and hypothermia are low, but temperatures will drop to around 8°C in the evening, so even for day trips, do not neglect cold weather preparations.
