Niseko Annupuri summit is currently cloudy with visibility below 1km, but is expected to clear to fair weather by 9 AM, improving visibility. The temperature difference between the summit and base is currently 6 degrees Celsius. Daytime temperatures will rise, reaching around 14.7 degrees Celsius at the summit by noon. Winds will be southerly and light, with gusts up to 10 m/s posing minimal impact on activity.

With no snow cover, the ground is currently dry. However, light drizzle is forecasted to begin around noon and continue until approximately 3 PM. This will transform the ground into wet to muddy conditions, especially on the gentle to moderate long courses predominantly on the northwest facing slopes. Caution is required due to slippery surfaces. A wicking base layer, a light fleece or no mid-layer during activity, and a waterproof breathable shell are essential outerwear.

As indicated by the automatic risk assessment, a rapid temperature drop of 7 degrees Celsius is expected within the forecast period. Despite warm daytime conditions, carry an extra insulating layer to prepare for sudden changes during activity or cooling post-descent. With temperatures dropping to around 6 degrees Celsius at the summit overnight, those planning ridgetop access should make early decisions to turn back if conditions deteriorate. While lightning risk is low, be mindful of getting wet from the afternoon drizzle and the potential for hypothermia.
