The summit currently shows mostly clear skies but visibility is less than 1km due to lingering mist, with a feels-like temperature of 2.1°C. A significant temperature difference of over 10°C exists between the summit and the base, necessitating appropriate layering for the altitude change.

Daytime temperatures are expected to rise to 7.9°C with gentle winds, gusting up to 7.9m/s at most, which should not impede movement significantly. However, the exposed ridge lines of Mt. Yari, well above the tree line, are constantly subject to wind. The rock sections, including the chained and laddered ascent to the summit (Hotsaki no Kusariba), are dry if not wet. Proceed cautiously with secure three-point contact, especially under limited visibility.

After 15:00, conditions are forecast to become partly cloudy with a 53% chance of precipitation, though no actual rainfall is predicted. In the Northern Alps at 3000m, there's always a risk of sudden afternoon thunderstorms. Given the potential for continued poor visibility, an early start is strongly advised. Aim to pass the summit by noon and descend to a safer elevation as early as possible. Full waterproof and breathable outerwear, along with adequate insulation, gloves, and a hat, are essential. Crampons or microspikes are not required.
