Today's Mount Shari forecast indicates cloudy conditions throughout the day. Summit felt temperature starts at 5.6°C in the morning, rising to around 10°C during the day, but wind chill will reduce it. The Old Trail, particularly its continuous waterfalls section along the Kiyosato Hut loop route, will be wet and slippery due to high humidity. Extreme caution is advised to prevent falls on these sections.

Ground conditions are generally wet. Although no precipitation is expected, muddy sections are likely along the river routes. With no snowpack, crampons or microspikes are not necessary. However, with an increasing chance of afternoon precipitation, full rain gear (jacket and pants) is essential. Gusts on the ridge can exceed 10 m/s, requiring careful movement to maintain balance.

Essential layering includes a moisture-wicking base layer, a fleece or synthetic mid-layer, and a waterproof/breathable outer shell. Adjust clothing frequently to prevent hypothermia, especially during stops or in windy areas where body heat can be lost rapidly. Mount Shari is also a bear habitat; carrying a bear bell and hiking in groups are recommended precautions.

Precipitation probability slightly increases in the afternoon, but significant rainfall is not anticipated, keeping the risk of sudden river swelling low. Nevertheless, continuously monitor weather changes. If visibility deteriorates or you experience discomfort, do not hesitate to turn back.
