Temperatures are expected to rise to the mid-14s C during the day, with clear conditions persisting. However, current visibility is less than 1km, indicating limited sight.

This poor visibility poses a significant risk for travel on the vast summit plateau, which spans 4km east to west. With numerous ponds (Iketo) scattered across the high-altitude wetland, the danger of getting lost in thick fog is elevated. Always maintain situational awareness using GPS, map, and compass. Stepping off the boardwalks in the wetland is strictly prohibited to protect the fragile ecosystem. Continuously monitor visibility conditions while on the move.

Ground conditions are generally dry due to no precipitation and high temperatures, but expect wet sections on and around boardwalks within the wetland. Watch for slippery boardwalks and muddy patches. Crampons or microspikes are not required. Carry rain gear as a precaution, and prepare for cooler temperatures with a light fleece and wind shell for breaks or early morning/evening.

Thunderstorm risk is low. Strong winds are not expected, with gusts up to 10.2m/s at most, which should not impede movement. The risk of hypothermia is also low, but it increases if poor visibility causes prolonged stops. Conditions are generally good for daytime activity, but continuously monitor visibility and plan your ascent accordingly.
