Winds are currently calm but are forecasted to gradually strengthen from the southwest throughout the day, with gusts potentially reaching 13.4 m/s by 15:00. Hikers on exposed ridges, such as those on the Bōgakudai Course or during a Tokachi Mountain Range traverse, should be aware of strong winds that could cause loss of balance above the tree line.

Ground conditions are predominantly dry with no snow cover, and rocky terrain is widely exposed. With no precipitation forecasted, muddy conditions are unlikely. Layering should consist of a wicking base layer, a fleece mid-layer, and a windproof outer shell.
