There is a significant temperature difference of 9.5 degrees Celsius compared to the base, requiring awareness of temperature changes due to elevation. Temperatures are expected to rise during the day, reaching 5.1 degrees Celsius by 3 PM. Winds will remain light, with gusts up to approximately 8.7 m/s, suggesting limited strong winds on the ridges leading to Kengamine.

The white volcanic gravel slopes above the tree line, towards Kengamine, are free of snow and no precipitation is forecast, indicating dry conditions. However, due to overnight cooling and high humidity, the ground surface might be slightly damp in the early morning. The risk of muddy sections is low.

During your ascent, pay attention to sweat chilling. A layering system consisting of a quick-drying base layer, a mid-layer like fleece, and a windproof shell is appropriate.
