Clear weather is expected to continue through the morning, with temperatures rising to 4.6℃ during the day. Winds will remain relatively light, making for suitable climbing conditions.

Given no precipitation or snowfall and daytime temperatures above freezing, the volcanic scree slopes are expected to be dry. Ascending the steep volcanic scree from the 5th station on main routes like Yoshida or Fujinomiya should be free from ice concerns. However, be mindful of constant rockfall risks inherent to volcanic terrain. As an exposed independent peak, the unshielded slopes above the treeline will be more susceptible to wind even on a calm day.

A significant temperature drop of 9℃ is forecast, with temperatures falling to -1.3℃ by 18:00 and -5.4℃ by 03:00. Even at the daytime high of 4.6℃, wind gusts of 6m/s could bring the feels-like temperature down to -2℃. By 03:00, wind chills could plummet below -11℃, significantly increasing the risk of hypothermia. Be prepared for rapid changes; carry an extra insulating layer such as a fleece or down vest in addition to your base layer, mid-layer fleece, and waterproof shell. Gloves and a warm hat are essential. Rain gear is mandatory, and light crampons are recommended for precaution. Make early decisions to turn back if conditions deteriorate. It is strongly advised to complete activities at high altitudes, such as the Okachi-meguri (crater rim traverse), before sunset and descend to a safer elevation promptly.
