Sunny conditions are expected to persist throughout the day, with temperatures rising to around 7 degrees Celsius. Winds will be moderate in the morning but are forecast to reach gusts of 15.2 meters per second by noon. Caution is advised when traversing exposed ridges like Ken-ga-mine, where strong winds can significantly impact balance and stability.

The ground is predominantly exposed rock and volcanic scree, with no significant snow cover. While some damp patches and muddy areas may occur due to rising daytime temperatures, overall conditions are expected to be dry. Neither crampons nor microspikes are necessary. However, given Ontake's status as an active volcano and the lessons from the 2014 eruption, carrying a helmet is strongly recommended for protection against potential rockfalls or unexpected volcanic activity.
